"Roosting poles" for your pet poulty to sleep on
Your coop should include “roosting poles” for your chickens to sleep on. These should be 2” wide with round edges, allowing 10” of space per bird. If more than one pole is needed, they should be 10” apart and stepped in height so that neighbouring poles are several inches apart. |

1 set of 2 “roosting poles” (2 in total) |
Nest box to encourage egg-laying
Your coop should have one or more nest boxes to encourage your hens to lay eggs – approximately one nest box for every five hens is sufficient. Nest boxes should be dark and secluded, as the hen’s instinct is to lay her eggs in a safe place. They should also be raised off the ground a few inches, but lower than the lowest roosting pole. |

Floor to coop is segmented to offer separate spaces |
